THE NOVEL

Banana Shout Resort is located in the western coastal area of Jamaica, on the coral cliffs of the western portion of Negril. It is only one-half mile from the historic Negril Lighthouse.

We offer you the seclusion, privacy, and intimacy of our four unique cottages, perched on the 30 foot cliff's edge, offering spectacular sunset watching, with tiered sun decks built into and around a cave with a fresh water shower. Your own private snorkeling cove and teeming coral reef is two feet from our shore.

Your own well equipped romantic cottages are set in lush tropical foliage with secluded garden pathways. All cottages share our private ocean cove, have cooling ceiling fans, island decor, relaxing hammocks, kitchenettes, daily maid service, and security.

The cliff area is famous for the live coral coves teeming with caribbean tropical fish. For those who prefer scuba diving, glass-bottomed and other charter boats are available for hire to offshore reefs. Stables and horse trails are just out of town and the seven mile white sand beach starts at the north end of the town center.

Most all water sport activities from sailboats, parasailing, water skiing, and jet skiing are choices you may enjoy. Tours to Y-S Falls, Appleton Rum Distillery and many historic locations may be easily arranged.

Nearby are various retail stops: Rick's Cafe, a world-famous watering hole, and other restaurants and bars are within walking distance, as well as a few small grocery stores.

Though the night life is available, the secluded character of the West End of Negril provides a quiet getaway for couples or family. The charm of Jamaica is present in the nearby street shops and interaction with the sales folk is a must.

Banana Shout is more than a vacation. It's an experience where friendships are made and maintained throughout the years.
